Hi, I am still in Sao Paulo with Fabricio.
Fabricio speaks many languages.
The most of these languages he learnt by Skype.
He also learnt Dutch, Russian, Italian at school and by Skype, which other languages? French of course.
He just started learning Japanese.
I found the story about why he wanted to learn Dutch very interesting, and that is where we are going to talk about.
Fabricio, can you tell us for which reason you wanted to learn Dutch? Yes, sure.
Before went to Holland I didn't know anything about the country and the language But I had a transfer in Amsterdam and I had eight hours of free time.
It was a good experience there.
The city was very beautiful and the people where very kind.
Also the girls were very pretty.
Were you there in the summer? Yeah.
– Yeah then it's nice And when I came back to Brazil I decided to learn Dutch.
It was fun.
Nice, so it's often said that the best way to learn a language is to go to the country.
I think that it's not necessary to be in the country in order to learn the language.
We practice on Skype for example.
I practiced Portuguese with you on Skype, and we spoke Dutch as well.
So it's possible to learn a language by Skype, I agree on that.
Maybe we can continue in Portuguese But I think that you have much more motivation when you are in the country, right? I agree 100 present, it was the same case as with my Dutch.
And also with Russian.
In fact, Russian was more because of my wife, but being in the country also helped.
Do you have more examples where you used Skype to learn other languages? For example here, we are in Brazil now.
I've been here for one month.
It's not enough to learn a language fluently, but I had a good time here in Brazil, it was fun.
And now I have the plan to continue my Portuguese studies in the future.
So, I don't think that you need to be in the country but I can help.
Not only being in the country, but also watching media from that country, like movies and such things.
But being in the country gives you a sensation/feeling of ''I want to learn this, it's cool, I liked the country and its people.
I totally agree on that.
Thanks for the video and see you next time in Brazil.
